How Do We Make Our Bouquets As Sustainable As Possible
Flowers are one of nature’s most beautiful gifts—but how they’re grown, packaged, and transported can have a big impact on our planet. That’s why we do things differently at The Flower Studio. 💚✨
🌸 100% Plastic-Free Packaging: Our bouquets and plants are wrapped in paper & tissue, placed in a sturdy cardboard box for transport. Inside? ...
... a repurposed tin can or glass jar—kindly donated by our lovely customers (who get extra stems as a thank-you!). Because why buy new when we can reuse? 🌍♻️
💧 Eco-Friendly Extras: Even the little details matter! Our flower food sachets come in paper, and our ribbon is either fully compostable (made from wood pulp & non-toxic inks) or designed to be repurposed—perfect for wrapping gifts or tying in your hair! 🎀
🌷 Locally & Ethically Sourced Flowers:
- In summer, we grow a selection of our own flowers and source as much as possible from British growers—right now, all our tulips come from UK farms!
- When we do source from further afield, we carefully choose ethical growers who invest in their communities—building schools, creating fair & safe jobs, reusing water, and avoiding harmful pesticides. 🌎✨
🚫 No Floral Foam, No Microplastics! This common florist tool is technically a single-use plastic made from petroleum, breaking down into harmful microplastics in the water system. We refuse to use it. Instead, we design in a way that’s kinder to nature. 🌱💧
As a Biosphere Partner, protecting our local environment is at the heart of what we do. We compost our green waste and recycle paper, cardboard, and plastics wherever possible.
Choosing sustainable floristry means choosing beauty with a conscience—for your home, your events, and the planet. 🌍🌿
